Yep, there it is "Screenshot" . Taking a SS(screenshot) is quite simple on your Windows/Mac OS X we will show you the most simple ways of taking a SS.

Taking a SS on windows is just a key away you can click on the "PrtSc" key on your keyboard.It will capture a SS of your whole current screen and copied to clipboard.You can now paste it to any program supporting image file, mostly you can use paint to save it as an image file. Press 'ctrl+v' to paste it and save it as you like.
 

Taking A Screenshot Of Single Window

Keep the window active of which you are going to take a SS. Then hold [Alt and press PrtSc] it will capture a ss of the current active window, you can again use paint in order to get it as an image file repeat the process same as above.

In Mac OS X it's quite simpler, in order to take  the SS of full screen press [command+shift+3] and then release keys. The SS should be present on your desktop as soon as you took it in a .png file

Taking A Screenshot Of A Specific Area On Your Desktop

On your keyboard press[command+shift+4] and then release all the keys You can now move the cursor in order to select the specified area once you are done just click on the mouse to complete, Now check on the desktop your SS should be right there
